Kenya’s ambassador to Egypt, Daniel Makdwallo, has faulted local football officials for sending Harambee Stars to North Africa without suitable clothing for the Winter conditions.

“They should have known better, especially at this time of the year, that North Africa is going through the Winter season,” said Makdwallo after watching Stars endure a freezing night when they played Egypt in Cairo.

Makdwallo hosted the Stars to a tea reception at the Fairmont Heliopolis. He urged football officials to put the interests of the players before theirs.
