My Style: Brian Nyikuli, Kenyan rugby player

My style is… Smart casual on weekdays and official when going to church.

A good look for me is… Polo shirts or white shirts donned with a half sweater and jeans, completed with white sneakers or Timberland boots.

Cufflinks or buttons? Cufflinks anytime. They bring out the man in you. I also make a note to wear cufflinks that match with the half sweater I have on.

Would you ever sag your pants? The look is just hideous. I’d never try to pull it off especially since I know it originated from jail as inmates did not have belts to hold their trousers.

I would compliment a lady if she is wearing… An outfit that compliments her body. All ladies should know their size, it will help them when choosing the right outfit and accessories.

Before I leave the house I always make sure I… Smell good. But not too strong, less is good.

So what colognes bring out the man in you? I tend not to use many fragrances. I only use a few that make a lasting statement such as Givenchy, Armani and Davidoff.

During the warmer months I’d never wear… A sweatshirt or tracksuit, even when training, it’s too uncomfortable.

I can’t stop buying… Shoes. I have so many that I have not worn yet I still buy more pairs when I travel out of the country.

I take a lot of time dressing… My upper body, I have to make sure whatever I wear flaunts my physique — it’s my plus (chuckles).

Fashion tip? Dress in what suits your body type.
