Amnesty argument must not prosper
I was disturbed to read a letter to the editor pressing for blanket forgiveness for those implicated in crimes against humanity in the weeks after last year’s General Election.
The writer tried to sell the argument that since God forgives, human beings are duty-bound to forgive.

Official portraits are not a useful custom
As a patriot, I respect the law and the Head of State. However, I feel some of the customs left behind by the British colonials have no importance and don’t help in building our true patriotism. They can be changed and done away with.
