Two late birdies on par five 17th hole and par three 18th hole were enough for a Mombasa businessman Aniz Popat to beat a field of 160 players and win the Total Day at Nyali Golf and Country Club.
Popat playing off handicap 11 amassed a total of 39 stableford points to emerge the overall winner in the day-long event at the weekend.
"This is a great day for me because the last time I won a major event was two years back — the Nairobi Stock Exchange trophy," said Popat.
